Does the Level of Details setting actually do anything when using a 2D court background?

I couldn't see any visual differences between Very High and Very Low, so I'm wondering if I can safely leave it on Very Low without losing any hidden details.

Hello,

with the 2D Background, the Level of Details still can remove line judge, ball boys & chair umpire. But if the 2D Court you use already specifies to hide them all, LOD doesn't do anything.
