overflow movement

Postby pluigh » 14 Apr 2026, 08:41

Hello. I've noticed that when a player is overwhelmed, they extend their arm without moving their body, resulting in a strange animation. Is it possible to add an animation where the player's body also tries to move closer to the ball with an additional leg movement ?

Hello,

if it's your player, you're the one that should move him, and if it's a CPU player he should still be moving in that case, no ?

Actually, I move him and he only extends his arm. This happens when the player is a bit far from the ball. Let's just say the arm-only animation looks odd. But I'm nitpicking over details, and I apologize. The game is so engaging that you want it to be as realistic as possible. Similarly, the players bouncing between points is a strange effect. They might as well remove the spring effect. Have a good day and good luck with improving the game. PS: I'm a French user of the game who knows nothing about development and should probably keep quiet, but I can't...

It means you didn't bring him close enough to the ball and should have stopped to move later.

It's indeed inelegant, but it's the goal as it's very readable for the gameplay rules.

I'll try to change the animation once the point is done, in the future.
