End of point animations

Postby Rafael Johnon » 15 Jan 2026, 06:02

The animations look really nice. The only thing that makes me feel it could be a bit better is the movement after a point ends.It wouldn’t require any new animations, just a change in how the player’s direction is handled after the point is over.

In a lot of my matches, I like to keep running in different directions after the rally to give the point a bit more style, haha. It’s silly, I know, but it’s part of the fun for me. It would be amazing if, once the point is over, the game allowed us to move freely in any direction, with the player actually facing that direction instead of staying in the standard “crab-like” side walk.

Sometimes the game does let me run freely and the player turns toward the direction I’m holding, but other times he keeps moving sideways as if he were still in a rally trying to cover the court.
This video shows what I mean:

This momentary free run in any direction (which works sometimes) is really neat. 8-) :bounce:
Would it be possible to add an option for free movement after a point ends, Manutoo, or would that be completely out of scope at this point? It would be cool to use the gestures in any direction the player is facing. :jap:

Hello,

I may add walking animation once the point is over, but it might not be for a long time.

That’s awesome!
Thanks for even considering it; take all the time you need if you ever decide to bring it to the game. :jap:
