Laptop Temperature?

Postby enes16 » 12 Jan 2026, 11:41

Hey, I have a question. I bought a laptop, partly because of tennis elbow 4 :D But my problem is, is it normal for tennis elbow 4 to put so much strain on the laptop? I can hear the fans like in some CS2 :D Is that normal? Chat gpt says yes, because it puts a strain on one part of the processor or something like that. Can this be fixed somehow? I changed the fps to 120, but it didn't help much, only a little. The game is light, so does it really put that much strain on it? Well, I would like to congratulate you and thank you for this wonderful game. It's amazing how much progress has been made with the running animations and so on. For me, if I may emphasise a little, the impact animations could be improved a little, and the ball could spin like a banana shot, but it would be simply unbelievable. Once again, thank you and congratulations!

Laptops get hot even on light gaming. Make sure you're NOT playing on a surface that holds temperature (like in the bed for example). Also you can buy a little platform with fans for your laptop if you plan to game a lot on it, it will expand your laptop lifetime a lot, trust hehe also check your graphic settings too, TE4 is not very cpu heavy but the graphics chip in your laptop may be getting hot, also some laptop models have their air intake below so it can get little to no airflow in if you don't play with something lifting the laptop from the desk a little bit (yeah very dumb desing but some manufacturers are like this).

Well, I play CS 2 and Valorant, lol. I have a cooling stand. I think it's quieter than a tennis elbow, or maybe I have some kind of problem with my head :D. Maybe I haven't played many games on it yet, I'm still testing it :d. Also, I noticed that I have 200 fps almost all the time, and after the action it seems to drop a little to 100/120, but when there is an exchange, it also seems to me that it is not 100% smooth and sometimes it's as if the ball is cut off. You can hardly see it, but I feel something like that.

Well after points end the crowd animation can make a huge fps dip, I have a RX 6900 XT and still get frame drops so yeah, you can turn that animation off if you want more stable fps

enes16,
there's already a bit of side spin, like a banana shot but less strong, when you hit the ball on the run.
